You all know......well those of you who really love me....that I have a love for the music of Loggins & Messina. I have been a fan of them since 1973 when the first 45 I bought was Your Momma Don't Dance And Your Daddy Don't Rock and Roll.

When they split up it was a sad day for music! I have followed both of them and gone to concerts and listened to their music and thought that this is just the music of my life. I have been as far as Utah and as close as Temecula to catch Kenny's concerts....saw Jimmy at the Coach House! Jimmy even put his glass of water in front of me on the table! I have been in the front row for several of Kenny's concerts....one of the best in Cerritos for a special Christmas concert....singing along to Christmas songs with Kenny was the highlight of that Christmas for me!

So, in 2005 they reunitied over shared experiences in both thier lives and went out on a reunion tour. I was in heaven! We saw them 3 times on that tour.

But, this year they reunitied and went out again! This time I decided was my time to go on tour also! So this year we hit 5 of the concerts.....I can't tell you the joy that filled me when I heard the amazing sound of the band....the music filled the concert....the sounds all blending and meshing and surrounding us. Incredible!

The band is a bunch of amazing musicians themselves...Steve Distanislao (Stevie D) on drums; Steve Nieves on Sax and Percussion; Gabe Dixon (who has his own amazing band and opening act on several nights) on keyboards; George Hawkins Jr. (Yes, for those of you old fans of L&M THAT George Hawkins) on Bass; Big Jim Wheeler on Horns and Gary Oleyar on Violin and Mandolin...... When Steve Nieves and Big Jim Wheeler start up on those sax's I can't begin to tell you how great it was! And then when Gary Oleyar on Violin and Jimmy on Mandolin...WOW! Is all I can say!

Kenny's voice is perfect! He sounds the same on CD as he does in person......he has kept his voice, his "instrument" in perfect pitch through the years, even when he was sick at the Greek and Santa Barbara, you could only tell he was sick when he spoke, not when he sang....Jimmy's guitar playing hasn't missed a beat, his mandolin playing is still one of my all time favorite things!

To hear Watching the River Run; Back to Georgia, Be Free; Angry Eyes, You Need A Man; Vahevala.....Nobody But You and on and on...in person....again....truly amazing!

I am sort of sad that all the concerts near me are now over....we did get to go to the Meet and Greet in Santa Barbara and gave Kenny & Jim some Clear Voice! Exciting to see that in San Diego that they had it up on stage to use!

Thank you Kenny and Jimmy....for the music that through the years has made me sooooo happy and thank you for reuniting and singing in person for us all once again! What a joy!

A Mistake In The Pizza Place!

I am sure that you are all quite familiar with the two signs here. The universal sign for the Men's and Women's bathrooms. I do know the difference.......I am not a complete ding-dong.....OK....quit laughing.

Sadly, this is not the first or probably the last time that this will happen to me.....

Today, while getting ready to have lunch with friends at BJ's Pizza in Temecula, I decided since I was the first there, to head on over to the potty. I know where it is at this restaraunt and went on my merry little way....thinking of who knows what.....and barged right in.......TO THE MEN'S BATHROOM! While a poor surprized gentleman was using the urinal! As I quickly and stealthly backed out and found my way to the correct potty, all the while laughing while not peeing on myself...I recalled all of the other times this has occured. Mervyns in Riverside ~ I thought it strange that the ladies loo had little urinals for the boys to use when they came shopping with their moms. And I thought the bathroom was rather stinky, boy were the 2 boys startled at the strange woman that emerged from the men's stall! There have been other times.....sadly.......

I regularly will use the men's potty in places where the women's is busy and it is what I call a "one-holer" (that would be an old outhouse verbage for having only one hole! Get it!) Where I can lock the door and no one will be the wiser....except those times when a man is waiting to get in...oh well! Cause, lets face it, the girl' loos are always busier. But, that is still not the same as entering a "4 holer" and having poor unsuspecting men in a comprimising position.....and I barge in. And you know I do like to ENTER a room!

I was probably singing Kenny Loggins "Danger Zone" and enjoying my Musical Mind Concert much too much....I would love to chalk it up to my not wearing my glasses, but, alas, they signs are sort of big and even I am not that blind!

So, check those signs! I would love to tell you that it will never happen again....but, we all know that is probably just wishful thinking. Cause I will be bopping to my own personal Kenny Loggins concert and Whoops! It will happen again......Men this is your warning! I won't peek!
